The attached savegame is the one prior to any experimentation by me. I have the following DLCs installed: Industries, Parklife, Concerts, Green Cities, High-Tech Buildings, Mass Transit, After Dark, Match Day, Natural Disasters, Pearls from the East, Relaxation Station, Snowfall.

I tried turning off all mods (including the built-in canonical ones like the infinite oil and ore one), no difference. I was using that one at the time, and a few others, mainly interface mods. I read somewhere that someone had gotten it to work by disabling the mod that allows all 25 map squares to be bought. The outcome was the same in both cases, no revenue. That way, my "own" trains spawned by the rail station exported the stuff, while otherwise they were mostly exported by foreign trains who brought imports for my commercial zones and picked up my export produce for the trip back. I also tried to make the rail station export-only by only connecting it with an outgoing one-way railroad. With rails only, zero quantity exported shown in the info view, zero revenue, the stuff just disappears. With roads only, I get the full 120-ish tons of metal exported per week that I should, with some fluctuation presumably due to timing of deliveries. I tested by severing the road connection and shutting down the train station in turn. Ore and metal exported by road gives money and shows in the industry area info view. Second option is probably doable with mods or asset, but I am unfamiliar with workings of the mods. 2) We might be able to solve the problem if we update those transport buildings or have a dedicated building which serves as selling point and all the export outside map or commercial zone goes through it. 1) Export probably doesn't count because cargo trains, planes or ships belong to their respective station, not to any industry buildings. Between the low amount of trucks per building, not able to set delivery priority and trucks going to the edge of the map to deliver exporting by roads is extremely likely to result in storage getting full and extractors/storage using up all the trucks to go to edge of the map instead of giving it to factories next door. It would be fine if export by roads was viable, but it's really not. If product leaves industry by anything but roads, it won't generate income making entire update pointless.
